Chris making a statement from our campus/down under.

Not many know this but 22-year old austrailian Chis O’Connell has been living at our campus on and off for about 4 months now.

He has been travelling Europe on his own since april this year and when in Bol, Croatia he met our head coach Andrej and had some sessions with our players Patrik and Jonathan. After som discussions it lead to Chris living at our campus between tournaments and also getting some practice done from time to time with Andrej and our academy players.

It takes great committement to travel for this long on his own. That’s the reason and a lesson for us Swedes – he has been playing tournaments almost every week and picking up points. He started the year 567 and now he is around 280 on the ATP-rankings.

He actually played his first ever indoor tournament here in Danderyd before he went back home last week to the warmth and summer down under.

”Staying and training at the club has been great. Without your support and without training base in Stockholm, I don’t think I would have done as well or being able to stay as long in europe. Thank you Andrej”

We wish you all the best for the future and hope to see you in the Australien Open draw for 2017!
